If you're reading the reviews here, pay attention to the bad ones, and note how the business minimizes complaints rather than takes responsibility. My girlfriend brought a BMW here for a pre-purchase inspection, as there wasn't many options in the area. Toole's gave her a report showing no issues and no reason to not purchase the vehicle. After driving the vehicle home, she noticed some obvious issues, and brought the vehicle to a BMW specialist who immediately found all sorts of major issues (underpressure in the turbocharger, an extremely expensive repair, major oil leak, removed trunk opener control unit) that should have been obvious with even a cursory 15 minute inspection. Toole's offered to refund the cost of the inspection and at the suggestion that they should take any more responsibility than that, became immediately hostile and confrontational. The BBB and BAR have become involved. This dealership doesn't do good work, won't stand by its own conclusions, and will get aggressive if you stand up for yourself. Seriously, go elsewhere. EDIT: The garage has "responded" to this review by, again, taking no responsibility, minimizing, and completely mischaracterizing the situation. "Future maintenance items" does not include an underpressurized turbo engine that shuts off randomly and refuses to turn on, that two other shops immediately noticed. "Future maintenance items" does not include a completely missing trunk motor and control unit. Likewise, that the relevant agencies have no direct power over your shop does not indicate they agree that it was "due to a miscommunication", they just said that nothing directly can be done.
Dear Ethan, as per your girlfriend's request Toole’s Garage provided your girlfriend with a vehicle pre-purchase inspection report showing a handful of issues & recommendations. NOTE: These inspection reports generally do not provide future maintenance recommendations. Your girlfriend agreed with the report and had the issues & recommendations addressed at another shop. The other shop made additional future maintenance recommendations at that time. Your girlfriend then tried to get Toole’s Garage to pay for those future maintenance recommendations by filing complaints with every agency she could think of. I believe you and your girlfriend misunderstood the differences in the types of recommendations that were provided. Due to the misunderstanding, Toole’s Garage offered a full refund of the inspection report cost, which your girlfriend declined. To date: every agency that received a complaint from your girlfriend has agreed that Toole’s Garage offered a good service and the complaints were based on a possible misunderstanding. Toole’s Garage wishes you both the best in your future vehicle repair experiences.
